What is Veriff? And what will I be asked?
We teamed up with Veriff, a global identity verification service company, to maintain a secure and trustworthy platform for all users. Veriff utilizes artificial intelligence to combine document verification, facial recognition, and liveness detection, offering a robust and compliant way to ensure that someone is who they claim to be.
Verifying your identity is optional, but we plan to make it a mandatory step for all job seekers in the future. By completing it now, you can stay ahead and prevent future delays in your job search.
If you opt to verify your identity, you’ll need to [create a Veriff account] and pay a $2.99 fee. This one-time charge is specifically to cover the costs of Veriff’s service, and it is the only fee you’ll ever face as talent on our platform.
You will be asked to share the following:
- Your full name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
- A valid government-issued ID (a passport or driver’s license will work)
- A selfie
Be sure to have a device equipped with a camera, such as a smartphone or a computer with a webcam.
The app will guide you to take clear and accurate photos of your government-issued identity document and your selfie. Once you’ve submitted your photos, Veriff will automatically analyze the selfie to ensure it matches your ID document. It will identify the document type, detect liveness and realness, and provide a decision within seconds.
When verified, a green check mark will appear next to your name on your Talent profile in GloballyHired. This Veriff badge signals to potential employers that your identity has been confirmed, adding an extra layer of trust and credibility to your profile.
