These roles are central to evaluating loan applications, assessing risk, and ensuring credit quality across commercial and residential transactions.

This role is remote – while much of the underwriting process can be managed remotely, candidates should expect occasional in-person collaboration with the Phoenix team.

Position Details 

As a Real Estate Underwriter, you’ll play a key role in reviewing borrower financials, analyzing property valuations, and assessing market conditions to deliver sound underwriting decisions. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with strong analytical skills who can balance risk assessment with deal execution.

You’ll collaborate with loan officers, asset managers, and investors to ensure transactions meet compliance standards and support business goals. By providing thorough, data-driven recommendations, you’ll help shape lending strategies and maintain portfolio quality.

What We’re Looking For 

2–5 years of underwriting experience in real estate, commercial lending, or mortgage banking.

Strong knowledge of credit risk, financial statements, and property valuation methods.

Familiarity with loan structuring, DSCR, and collateral analysis.

Working knowledge of federal and Arizona lending regulations.

Proficiency in underwriting platforms and Excel financial modeling.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation 

This is a temporary position based in Phoenix, AZ, with potential to transition into a permanent role. Compensation ranges from $32–$48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
