Materials Management Director
Position Overview:
The Materials Management Director oversees all aspects of supply chain, purchasing, and central supply functions within a highly regarded healthcare center in Los Angeles. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all materials, supplies, and equipment are efficiently procured, managed, and distributed in compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with deep knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations and a passion for driving cost-effective and mission-aligned solutions. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position for immediate hire.
Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the Materials Management, Purchasing, and Central Supply departments.
-Develop and enforce policies for procurement, receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
-Oversee purchasing strategies to ensure optimal pricing, vendor performance, and product quality.
-Negotiate vendor agreements, ensuring best value without compromising patient care.
-Standardize equipment and supply selection across departments for efficiency and cost savings.
-Implement inventory control systems and supply forecasting tools.
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
-Coordinate closely with department heads to support clinical operations with timely supply availability.
-Drive continuous improvement in supply chain practices, identifying areas for efficiency and cost containment.
-Maintain effective tracking systems and analytics to evaluate supply chain performance.
-Supervise staff to maintain high levels of productivity and professionalism.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain within a healthcare environment.
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
-Proven negotiation and vendor management expertise.
-Strong understanding of healthcare regulations affecting materials and procurement.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
-Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and execute process improvements.
-Experience implementing procurement systems and tools to streamline operations.
Compensation, Benefits & Relocation
This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000, based on experience.
