Position Details

Are you a senior HR executive with a proven track record of leading organizations through transition? We’re seeking Interim CHROs who can quickly assume responsibility for building and executing people strategy, whether during leadership turnover, rapid scaling, restructuring, or M&A integration.

As Interim CHRO, you’ll serve as the strategic and operational leader for all people functions, overseeing talent acquisition, organizational design, employee relations, and total rewards. You’ll work closely with CEOs, boards, and department leaders to align HR initiatives with company objectives, strengthen culture, and drive workforce performance. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, brings clarity to complex organizational challenges, and can lead both immediate tactical needs and long-term strategic HR planning.

What We’re Looking For

10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in senior HR executive roles (CHRO, VP of HR, or equivalent).

Demonstrated success guiding companies through transition, scaling, restructuring, or turnaround.

Expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, DEI initiatives, and leadership development.

Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, compliance, and employment law.

Proven ability to partner with boards, investors, and executive teams to align people strategy with business goals.

Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational change management skills.

Ability to quickly assess organizational health and lead HR strategy in high-stakes environments.

Compensation

Interim CHRO roles are typically structured as full-time or fractional engagements. Compensation ranges from $125–$250+ per hour, depending on company size, complexity, funding stage, and the urgency of the engagement. Equity components or milestone-based bonuses may be available for transformation or exit-related roles.
