What happens once a candidate accepts my job offer?

When a candidate accepts a job offer, the employer will instantly receive an email and platform notification. An accepted offer changes the status to an open role on GloballyHired. Employers can review the terms of the talent’s role in the Roles tab under the My Hires section of your account. The next steps after the candidate accepts a job offer will differ for the employer and talent based on the employment type.

If the candidate accepts a temporary/interim role

If the talent accepts a temporary/interim role, our back-office partner will invite your new hire to complete their onboarding. They will take care of all the essential back-office aspects of the talent’s assignment, including payroll, timesheet submissions, benefits administration, and compliance.

If this is your first time hiring temporary/interim talent with us, our back-office partner will also invite you to set up an account on their portal for timesheet approvals, invoices, and payment management. This step is optional as they can be managed directly through email for your convenience. This eliminates the need for a separate account setup unless you prefer a dedicated portal. If you have already hired temporary/interim talent with us before, no further action is needed at this time.

Upon successful onboarding, the talent receives approval to begin work on their start date. Throughout the assignment, they’ll submit timesheets online weekly. Once submitted, assigned approvers within your organization will be notified via email for a quick one-click approval. Assigned billing contacts will also receive weekly invoices for the approved hours worked by the talent.

Background screening

A standard background screening is included and conducted by our back-office partner during the onboarding process. This standard screening includes Social Security Number Trace, County Criminal Search, and National Criminal Search. All temporary/interim staff must successfully pass a standard background screening before their first day starting in the role. If the role requires other background screenings on the candidate, you can create an account (or use your existing one) to integrate with our background check partner and order additional checks.

If the candidate accepts a permanent/direct-hire role

As the official employer, you can now guide your new hire through your onboarding and orientation process. You’re welcome to reach out to the talent directly to keep them informed of any next steps to ensure they understand any conditions required to start the role, such as successful completion of required background screening(s) or professional references.

On your employee’s start date, we’ll process and send the invoice for the hire. You can update your billing contact(s) by visiting the Billings tab and view invoices within your Account Settings.
