Like a traditional staffing and recruiting agency, employers pay a markup on the hours worked by their temporary, interim, and fractional employees and a placement fee for any direct/permanent hires. While job seekers will never pay us to find a job, we do charge a minimal one-time fee of $2.99 for users to verify their identity. That said, this service is currently optional, and the fee just covers our cost of providing it. We do not profit from it, but with more and more bad actors taking advantage of job seekers and companies alike, everyone benefits from this fraud-prevention measure.
